GILBERT & GEORGE TOTCHI
This large scale painting is Ramirez’s interpretation of Art World icons, Gilbert & George. CR decided to create a TOTCHI version of the pair of artists, adapting quintissential traits such as their bald heads and glasses to a TOTCHI-like face adorned sporadically with checkers. The artist also utilized his distinguished flowers and color combinations, as well as painting an artificial black frame to encompass these floating heads and create a sense of space and perspective for the viewer.
